Players have the freedom to explore the sites in any order with progress recorded in journals that log collected artifacts, field notes, and achievements. Throughout the game, players analyze and make connections, deducing facts about each area layer by layer and artifact by artifact. At each location, players interpret how artifacts were used through a series of analysis questions and reports, requiring them to consider historical context. Ultimately, each site comes to life as artifacts populate a historically accurate depiction of Egyptian life.
